Learning intention: We are learning to develop our understanding of Advent.
Success criteria: I know I can do this when I write five facts about Advent.
Facts
- Advent begins on Sunday November the 27th and ends on December 24th.
- The three purple candles symbolises peace, hope and love.
- The pink candle symbolises joy.
- During the Advent season, the Catholic church will light up four candles.
- In 1851, the first Advent wreath was made by hands in Germany made out of wood.
